On October 5th 3 new students have started with our S.P.E.A.R. program.

S.P.E.A.R. stands for Strategic Program for Education, Assessment and Recruitment.

All candidates will follow the same program for the first 9 months and will be assessed accordingly. Upon successful completion of the first 9 months, the candidates will have the option to choose which of the 4 disciplines they wish to pursue for the remaining 3 months of the program.

During the 3 months advanced training they’ll pick 1 out of 4 disciplines to become a Workshop Technician, Project Engineer, Sales Engineer or Site Services Technician. In the future more positions can be put in the program.

At the end of the training they’ll be placed in a permanent position judged on what is best suited for them.

Joshua (Josh) Warrington

  • Where from: West Midlands
  • Goal: To gain relevant qualifications and experience to allow me to get on “site” at earliest opportunity.

Mikail (Mik) Keskin

  • Where from: West Midlands
  • Goal: To become a specialist in a specific discipline and undertake site based work as soon as possible.

Nicol (Nick) Duncan

  • Where from: Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire
  • Goal: To complete 2 year college programme and succeed in completion of S.P.E.A.R.
