For Hydrostatic Testing it is required to completely fill up a pipe with a test medium such as water. Slowly pressure is build up until the required pressure is reached. The level of pressure applied is held for a required amount of time at which point the pipe is inspected visually for leaks. We use the latest of external or internal gripping plugs, combine this with our highly skilled technicians and you can rest assure that the job get done fast, efficient and above all safe!
Our technician’s uses sealing equipment, which locks on the pipe externally and internally. The seals are then hydraulically or mechanically operated. Using the latest internal or external plugs we eliminate the use of weld caps or flanges to do our leak test. This way we save time and reduce costs associated with welding & cutting.
Patriot International’s Hydrostatic Testing equipment are mainly used to test open ended pipes, spools or systems as large as 144’’ (3658 mm). Test pressures vary with application and pipe sizes; our equipment can reach up to 14,000 psi (965.27 bar).
