STATS In-Line Weld Test Tools provide a fast and efficient method of verifying the integrity of new welds, joints and welded pipe components.
The tool creates a localised test boundary around the weld, substantially reducing the volume that must be pressurised. This avoids the need to flood, pressurise and subsequently de-water large sections of the piping system.
By limiting testing to the new weld or welded component, operators can reduce downtime, simplify the testing procedure and minimise the demands placed on the wider system.

Two functions from one tool
In addition to localised hydrostatic weld testing, the In-Line Weld Test Tool can be deployed before hot-work activities to establish a verified atmospheric barrier adjacent to the hot-work location.
This application is suitable only where containment is maintained at atmospheric pressure.
Once correctly positioned and activated, the tool creates a verified vapour barrier between the hot-work location and the remaining pipework. Following completion of the welding activity, the tool can be repositioned and used to test the integrity of the new weld.
This dual-purpose capability allows one tool to support both preparation for hot work and subsequent weld testing, helping reduce the amount of equipment required on site.
Reliable sealing in demanding pipework
High-performance, large-section elastomer seals provide excellent radial expansion and create a reliable, leak-tight test boundary, including in pitted pipework.
The tools are designed with generous radial clearance to pass common internal obstructions such as weld beads and accommodate pipe ovality. Pressure-assisted sealing supports reliable isolation throughout the test.
Their robust construction is designed for repeated operation in demanding industrial environments.
