About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leak Repair Team Lead to oversee and coordinate leak detection and repair activities across our network. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical expertise with team supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of leak repair technicians
- Plan and allocate daily work activities to meet operational priorities
- Carry out and oversee leak detection, repair, and reinstatement works
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Monitor job quality, productivity, and completion timelines
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Liaise with operations, customer service, and management teams
- Complete reports, job records, and asset documentation accurately
- Respond to emergency leak repairs as required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leak repair, utilities maintenance, or a related field
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of pipe systems, fittings, and repair methods
- Ability to read plans, locate underground services, and assess risks
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Competent in using tools, equipment, and mobile job management systems
- Valid driver’s license (and relevant industry certifications, if applicable)
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Health & Safety certification (e.g., First Aid, confined space, working at heights)
- Experience working in live networks or critical infrastructure
